COVID-19: Scottish golfers learn fate as lockdown restrictions tighten

Scottish golf courses CAN remain open despite a further tightening of COVID-19 mitigation measures outlined by the Scottish Government this afternoon.

Scotland is the only one of the four ‘Home Nations’ where golf is not currently banned as authorities step up the fight against the deadly virus. It had been speculated that might change when First Minister Nicola Sturgeon addressed Parliament in Holyrood today to impose a new set of sanctions upon the country. Golf is also currently banned in the Republic of Ireland.
